I believe that woocommerce is a very powerful tool for building ecommerce websites which offers out of the box and for free very important functionality. If someone knows how to optimize woocommerce for SEO everything is possible from an SEO technical point of view. The result can be an extremely professional website with everything that is necessary for small ecommerce businesses but also for medium to big websites. Some websites might be quite straightforward and simple but usually the more products categories an ecommerce website has the more time it will take to form a strategy.
I would like to note here that it is much preferable for a startup online business to focus of a product category first and optimize its SEO strategy for this product category and then expand to more. It is very hard to win the the SEO competition otherwise especially when the available budgets and human resources are not enough.

The answer to this question is ‘No’. Sometimes, it is very hard to compete with the competition especially if there is not enough budget to also devote in content writing and also promoting the website and its products. I would differentiate though the valuable services of promoting a website from services that just create backlinks. Google’s artificial intelligence algorithms can understand the difference between a link that is useful for a website and a link that is just a backlink. And they can understand this because they compare the users’ behaviour. If a backlink is never clicked, or clicked but the user who enters in a website does not show interest on the website then the backlink does not really count for SEO. There are many SEO companies which still promote their backlinking services very much because the truth is that this service is non ending. And such companies will most probably not follow the STEPS mentioned earlier in this article because their main interest is just so sell. The problem is that backlink services also costs a lot because usually it is necessary also to pay for adding a backlink to a website. It needs to be clear that backlinks are important but only when they can bring users in the ecommerce website that want to buy. A company should pay for backlink services only when it really sees their value in the Google Analytics reports. If backlinks are created that do not bring sales then the backlink strategy needs to change.
