It is important to do SEO marketing research first, so that we can understand the market and the possibilities, and focus on a marketing strategy that will be best for the given business. This step will help us optimize every aspect of a website when we reach the stage of developing it. It will be the foundation on which we build the content that will allow us to bring organic traffic to the site. The most typical occurrence with websites that are being built without SEO in mind is the total lack of organic traffic or with some organic traffic that is irrelevant to the business service or product.
How a WordPress website should be build to bring organic traffic
Oftentimes clients come to me to help them rebuild their WordPress website or to help them make their first WordPress website, and they either don’t have any idea how to structure it or they have already ‘thought about everything’. But most of them do not know how SEO and digital marketing works to be able to ‘design’ a website well. My task is to understand their business and what they want to achieve, and then study their market in order to come up with proposals for their website. After this, I will discuss the proposals with the client and give an in depth explanation of my reasoning and of what we will be able to target if we go through with the proposal. When we reach a common ground understanding, I can form the architecture of the website and it can enter the development stage.
In my experience, this is the best strategy. A client does not have the expertise that I have and I do not know the client’s business. Thus, we need to combine our knowledge to find the best strategy that will bring the desired results. The first job of a WordPress SEO expert or an SEO agency, and in general any SEO expert no matter of the CMS, is to give a consultation and assist the client in building their business online successfully. The main interest on an SEO consultant is not to just deliver a project, but to also deliver successful results which will increase the business profitability.
